Dr. Hughes earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University, New York, NY. Following his graduation from medical school, Dr. Hughes completed his residency training in Radiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center/Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. He has completed a fellowship in neuroradiology from Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC and he is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology.
