Dr. Hewes earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Loma Linda, CA.  Following his graduation from medical school, Dr. Hewes completed his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, CA.  He completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Radiology from Hospital for Special Surgery, Cornell University Medical Center, New York, NY.  He is board certified in radiology. 

Dr. Hewes previously worked for 14 years at Kettering Medical Center, Kettering, OH, where he served as President and Medical Director & Chairman.  He then worked for 10 years at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, where he also served as President.  Dr. Hewes currently works at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.
